Carrying of Firearms-Wisconsin

Wisconsin prohibits concealed carrying of firearms by private citizens.  Any person who carries firearm in public building is guilty of a Class A misdemeanor[i].  Peace officers, armed forces, military personnel or any other person authorized by chief police to possess a firearm are exempted.  Any person except a peace officer who carries a concealed and dangerous weapon is guilty of a Class A misdemeanor[ii].

Persons are prohibited from carrying handguns where alcohol beverages may be sold and consumed.  Owners, managers, or employees of the establishment, including licensed private security persons and police officers are exempted[iii].  Wisconsin does not recognize interstate reciprocity on carrying of firearms.
