According to Article 1 Section 19 of Alaska Constitution, an Alaska citizen has the right to bear arms. Accordingly, state of Alaska or its political subdivision is not supposed to deny an individual’s right to keep and bear arms. Alaska state permit is not required to purchase rifles and shotguns. However, state permit is required to purchase long guns.
